The bulk of this collection consists of Reverend Finney's sermons. Also included is a diary, which discusses daily events with a particular emphasis on preaching activities, and correspondence, which consists of letters to his future wife, Jane Reed Orr, and letters from his father, David T. Finney. Also included are some hymns and poems that are religious, sentimental, and abolitionist in nature, some essays and an undated photograph.
